In 2000, the Municipality of Šenčur renovated an older building in the center of Šenčur, and in April 2001, during the municipal holiday, opened the Šenčur Municipal Museum.

Cultural exhibition and local history in the old town hall.

The Blagnet House in Šenčur (Pipanova cesta 2) is one of the most important cultural and historical buildings in the town. It is a superbly preserved farmyard house that today serves as the main venue for preserving local heritage.

Old Town Centre of Kranj

Declared a cultural and historical monument in 1983.

The centre of the old town is dominated by the main Glavni trg square with its two parallel narrow streets, Tavčarjeva and Tomšičeva. These are connected to the main square by a series of cross streets and passageways.

A 1.9 km walking trail with informative boards about the history of the Kokra River.

The educational trail along the Kokra River is located between Visoko and Tupalič, between Kranj and Preddvor. It features five information boards about the history of the Kokra, its beauty and natural values.

Strmol Castle

Strmol Castle

Strmol Castle stands at the foot of Dvorjanski hrib hill near the village of Češnjevek.

It was named after its first owners, the Strmol family, and is thus one of the rare castles in Slovenia that has retained its Slovenian name throughout its entire existence. Near the castle there is a beautiful park and a café, and nearby is the Češnjevek pond.

Brdo Estate and Castle

A state protocol facility serving the needs of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia.

Brdo Park can be visited at any time. An entrance fee must be paid at the gate or at the hotel reception. Brdo is a wonderful venue for a romantic wedding, which can be organised outdoors or in a hall.

Škofja Loka Castle

Škofja Loka Castle

First mentioned in a document from 1202, it was built by the bishops of Freising.

It served as the seat of the governor, and the bishop would stay there when visiting his estate. After the 1511 earthquake it was almost completely destroyed and rebuilt by Bishop Filip.

Church of St. George

The Church dedicated to St. George is first mentioned in written sources in 1238.

Part of a wider artistic cultural monument of the parish church, including the curate's house and the rectory buildings and remains of the former tabor walls, they are an important cultural and historical monument of local significance.

Adergas Church

Once a monastery church, today the parish church of the Annunciation.

After the Turkish invasions, a church and monastery were temporarily built. The current baroque pilgrimage church and monastery were begun in 1732 to plans by Gregor Maček and Italian architect Zulliani.

The Church of St. Margaret was built as early as 1756.

The Church of St. Margaret stands on the site of a medieval predecessor with a rectangular vaulted nave. The crypt, a golden altar from 1679 and paintings by Leopold Layer are preserved.

Church of the Assumption of Mary

The Church of the Assumption of Mary is located in the very center of Cerklje.

It is considered the largest church in the Cerklje municipality. The first church is thought to have been here as early as the 9th century. Next to the Marian church, two smaller churches stood at the beginning of the 13th century — the church of St. Michael and the church of St. Thomas.
